What You’ll Do
Morningside Inn is family-owned event venue which hosts stress-free all-inclusive weddings, parties, meetings, and banquets.
Bartender will provide exceptional beverage service to our guests during weddings, corporate events, and special gatherings. This role requires a keen understanding of mixology, customer service, and adherence to safety standards.

Bar Service: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and guests’ requests.
Customer Interaction: Provide courteous, attentive, and friendly service to guests, ensuring a positive experience at the bar.
Drink Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the bar menu, including signature cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, and provide recommendations to guests as needed.
Setup and Cleanup: Set up and break down bar stations for events, ensuring that the bar area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and restocking bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and mixers.
Event Collaboration: Coordinate with the event and service team to ensure timely and smooth service during events.
Cash Handling: Handle cash, process credit card transactions, and operate the point of sale system accurately.
Compliance: Follow all state and local laws regarding the service of alcohol, including checking identification to ensure guests are of legal drinking age.
Safety and Sanitation: Maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation of bar equipment, work areas, and supplies, adhering to health and safety standards.

Proven experience as a bartender in an event or banquet setting, preferably at weddings or other special events
Knowledge of drink mixing and serving techniques, along with a strong understanding of beer, wine, and spirits
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple drink orders at once
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the event schedule
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Must be 21 years of age or older
TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification required
