What You’ll Do
Morningside Inn is family-owned event venue which hosts stress-free all-inclusive weddings, parties, meetings, and banquets.
This dual role requires a professional who is passionate about both sales and event coordination, with a focus on creating unforgettable experiences for clients.
Sales Responsibilities:
Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, providing venue information and scheduling tours
Conduct venue tours, highlighting Morningside Inn’s unique features and services to prospective clients
Build strong relationships with potential clients and close sales for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions
Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing options, ensuring clear communication of package inclusions and policies
Follow up with leads, maintain a strong sales pipeline, and track all sales activity using CRM software
Collaborate with the marketing team on strategies to attract new clients and increase booking rates
Attend wedding expos and industry events to promote Morningside Inn and generate leads
Assist in forecasting and meeting sales goals, and track progress against targets
Event Planning & Coordination Responsibilities:
Work closely with booked clients to plan the details of their event, including timelines, layouts, vendor coordination, and logistics
Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience
Conduct pre-event meetings and final walk-throughs with clients, vendors, and staff to confirm all event details
Coordinate with vendors including florists, caterers, photographers, entertainment, and rental companies to ensure timely execution of event services
Oversee event day activities, including setup, ceremony, reception, and breakdown, ensuring smooth execution of all elements
Troubleshoot and manage any issues that arise during the event to ensure client satisfaction
Collaborate with Morningside Inn’s catering and service staff to ensure that all events are executed at the highest standard
Provide on-site assistance to clients during the event, managing timelines and event flow

Proven experience in event sales, planning, and coordination, preferably in the wedding or hospitality industry
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving sales targets
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines under pressure
Knowledge of wedding trends, event logistics, and industry standards
Proficiency in CRM software, event planning tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by event schedules
