What You’ll Do
Morningside Inn is family-owned event venue which hosts stress-free all-inclusive weddings, parties, meetings, and banquets
As a Wedding Coordinator Assistant, you will work closely with the Wedding Coordinator to provide exceptional support before, during, and after wedding events.
Event Support: Assist the Wedding Coordinator in managing wedding day activities, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
Set-Up and Breakdown: Assist in setting up ceremony and reception areas, including decorations, tables, chairs, linens, and more, according to the couple’s preferences.
Vendor Coordination: Help communicate with vendors on the day of the event to ensure all services are delivered as planned.
Guest Assistance: Welcome guests and provide guidance and support throughout the event, helping with seating, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed.
Timeline Management: Assist in keeping the event on schedule by coordinating with vendors, bridal party, and guests to ensure key moments (ceremony, dinner, speeches, etc.) occur as planned.
Rehearsal Coordination: Assist with wedding rehearsals, guiding the wedding party through the ceremony steps.
Bride and Groom Assistance: Provide personalized assistance to the couple and their families, ensuring they have everything they need for a stress-free day.
Problem-Solving: Address any unexpected issues on the day of the wedding, acting quickly and professionally to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Post-Event Duties: Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of the venue after events.

Experience in event coordination or hospitality, preferably in weddings or special events
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Customer-focused attitude, with a desire to make the couple's experience memorable and stress-free
Ability to work long hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the event schedule
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
Previous experience working in a wedding or banquet setting is preferred
